Gunmen Abduct Another Two Reverend Fathers In Ughelli North

BARELY two days after the kidnap and killing of a police officer by suspected kidnappers in Ughelli metropolis, two Reverend Fathers of the Catholic church have been kidnap in Agbarha-Otor community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state.

The Reverend Fathers, Fr. Chochos Runav and Fr Raphael Ogigbah were allegedly abducted at about 9:pm on Saturday while returning from visitation.It was learned.
According to a statement by Very Rev. Fr. Okereke Kingsley Kizito, “Our brother Fr. Chochos Kunay, Schoenstatt Fathers, lives and works in Ibadan.
“However, he travelled to Warri to visit his friend Fr. Raphael Ogigba of the Catholic diocese of Warri and the Parish priest of St. Francis Agbara Otor, Ughelli North, Delta State.
“Unfortunately, after a short visit to the priest in a nearby parish both Fr. Chochos Kunav and Fr. Raphael Ogigba were kidnapped last night on their way back to the Parish of Fr. Raphael.
“The incident occurred on the road, in front of Ibru University Agbarha- Otor. We ask for intense prayers for quick and safe release.”
Contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright who confirmed the incident said, “We are seriously on their trail.”
